Mayfield Motors Limited was established in 1965 by Lawrance and Pam Saunders who developed a successful business based on honesty and quality service. Our Nissan franchise added a sales operation to the already busy workshop. In the mid 1980′s the opportunity came up to acquire the Budget vehicle rentals business which now operates out of the Blenheim airport.
One of the key reasons for the success of Mayfield Motors has been the quality of our staff and their commitment to providing quality customer service and motoring solutions to meet the needs of our diverse customers.
In 2002 Sturrock and Jo Saunders purchased Mayfield Motors Limited. They represent the third generation Marlburians in the motor industry in Marlborough. Sturrock says "it′s terrific when you deal with customers who remember their parents buying vehicles off your father, and your grandfather, and you are sitting around a table to assist in providing advice to ensure they purchase the right vehicle". Sturrock also says "that our business success is based upon quality staff, and the quality range of products that we represent in Marlborough, and also the valued customers who choose us to provide them with motoring solutions." "we are always looking at ways to continue to add value for our customers, 12 months ago we added Flybuys™ to vehicle servicing and parts (conditions apply) to enhance our relationships."
In 2010 Mayfield Motors were chosen to represent the Hyundai franchise in Marlborough.
